Driver Authentication Using Brain Waves -- Route Traces as a Mental Task --

(in English) Biometrics is effective for person authentication. In particular, the biometrics which is able to present biometric data unconsciously is needed for continuous or on-demand authentication. We have proposed to use the brain wave as an unconscious biometrics and aim to apply it to on-demand user authentication. In this paper, assuming driver authentication as an application of the on-demand user authentication, we evaluated verification performance of the brain wave when drivers were tracing routes. As a result, we obtained the EER of 31% by using spectra of brain waves as individual features.
