A Method of Control the Induced Current Distribution during Magnetic Stimulation using Asymmetry Eye-coil

(in English) Magnetic Stimulation is one of the methods for stimulating the nerve fiber. We proposed using eye-coil that is composed of two figure-of-eight coil and verified that the induced current by eye-coil is more focally than that by figure-of-eight coil. In addition eye-coil could move stimulating position by control distribution of induced current without moving coil position. In this study, we calculated the induced current and supposed stimulating position by asymmetry eye-coil. Furthermore, we measured distribution of induced current with volume conductor model in order to confirm simulation result. As a result, by control the quantity of current flowing to each coils, stimulation range using asymmetry eye-coil is larger than that using symmetry eye-coil without moving coil position.
