A study for segmentation method of buildings from bird's eye view and streetscape images based on regular patterns in buildings

(in English) In this paper, we propose a segmentation method for detecting the building areas from bird's eye view and streetscape images based on the building texture information. Conventional methods use the edge information on the buildings to segment the building resions. However, it is difficult to detect these resions from web bird's eye view and streetscape images due to low resolution. Then our method uses both the information of windows on buildings and the edges to extract the regions of buildings. Experimental results show that our proposed method detect the ratio of windows on buildings with 64 % accuracy.
