Makoto Kawai (Ritsumeikan Univ.) SANE2010-162 SAT2010-79
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) During the twenty years from the mid-1970s when Experimental Medium-capacity Communications Satellite for Experimental Purpose CS was developed to the mid-1990s when N-STAR a and b were developed the satellite communications R&D made distinguished progress in our country. The multiport amplifier is one of the excellent satellite communications technologies developed in the period and originated purely in our country. The author looks back over the circumstances how the multiport amplifier was originated from the personal viewpoints with the topics concerned with the satellite communications R&D trends in those days.
