Transmission Performance of Interference Avoidance Transmission by Partitioned Frequency- and Time-domain Processing for DSA

(in English) This paper investigates an interference avoidance transmission technique for dynamic spectrum access (DSA). OFDM-based transmission is supposed to be a promising candidate for DSA in light of recent trends in mobile systems. However, OFDM induces high out-of-band emission due to the side-lobes of the transmitted sub-carriers. For DSA systems employing OFDM transmision, it is thus important to suppress the out-of-band emission. An "interference avoidance transmission by partitioned frequency- and time-domain processing (IA-PFT)" has been proposed. It has been shown that IA-PFT can reduce the interference power spectrum density under the condition of a highly prioritized low-power device in white space. On the other hand, it is also important to evaluate transmission performances of IA-PFT in multi-path fading channels. Computer simulations show that IA-PFT realizes transmission performance as good as those of conventional interference avoidance methods.
