(in English) Various new TCP variants proposed for high-speed and long-distance networks have been implemented in commodity OSs and readily available. In this report, we evaluate the completion times of multiple large file transfer flows by two high-speed TCP variants (CUBIC and CTCP), in conditions and scenarios of realistic Internet networking using a network emulator and various client-side OSs. Through the experimental results, we discuss the preferable features of a high-speed TCP and how it should be performed in the real Internet where various client OSs coexist.
