This paper describes an overview of reliable and real-time datagram protocol (R2DP) for remote supervisory control and data acquisition systems and the results of basic evaluation. R2DP has three types of data with different priority, e.g., control data, visual data and additional data. Control data have the highest priority and constraint on delay. R2DP controls retransmission of control data in consideration of delay constraint. R2DP carries out congestion control to other types of data according to their priority. We confirmed that R2DP can have control data reaching destination within delay constraint and other data restricted adequately. |
