In this paper, we propose how to apply OpenFlow to wide area network. OpenFlow enables flexible network control by applications or services because it can control paths by each flows. However, it is a difficult to apply OpenFlow to wide area network because flow based control needs a lot of path information. To solve this problem, we have been studied "Source Flow" which reduces flow entries and enables user to control path selection. However, this method can express only paths with limited length. For this reason, in application of this method to wide area network, there is a problem that is connection load on relay node. To solve this problem, we propose SSF:Shortcut Source Flow. Furthermore, we showed effectiveness of proposed method from the point of view of the number of control signaling to controller. |
