Evaluation of Privacy Preservation Recommendation Based on Bayesian Networks

(in English) This paper proposes a method for constructing privacy-preserving recommendation models for content-based filtering. After receiving private k-means clustering results calculated with encrypted user contexts, the database requests the private key holding server to decrypt the contexts and obtains their statistic. Service providers retrieve the statistic necessary for their services from the database, and make Bayesian network models. When recommending, the service providers show candidates inferred from the most suitable model selected with the encrypted context from a requesting user. Accuracy evaluation in movie recommendation shows the effectiveness of the method for long-tail users.
