Coding Efficiency Improvements on Distributed Video Coding Utilizing Super Resolution Approach

(in English) Distributed Video Coding (DVC) has recently been attracting attention because it encodes frames independently without taking heavy computation at the inter-frame prediction coding. This paper discusses main issues on overcoming poor coding efficiency in DVC, and overcome the lower-efficiency of the conventional inter-frame coding method. In the proposed method, Key frames with using the conventional DVC method estimate low frequency components of Wyner-Ziv frame, and utilizing super-resolution method restores the high frequency components. Finally, the proposed method is compared to other existing methods through experiments and the results demonstrate the efficient coding by the proposed method.
