Reinforcement learning with Multiple actions
Hayato Nakama, Satoshi Yamada (Okayama Univ. Sci.) NC2010-155
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The multiple action consists of a group of primitive actions and the termination conditions. In this study, the RL with multiple actions was applied to the control task where the ``AND" condition of two types of sensors must be discriminated, and to the control task where target must be transported to the destination. These tasks are complicated control tasks which require two or more types of sensor information. To evaluate the learning performance of the RL with multiple actions, it was compared with the hand-coded controls using the multiple actions. As a result, the RL with multiple actions learned the controls which were more excellent than the hand-coded controls.
