The Digital Principle and the Listening Automaton -- The Mechanisms to generate human evolutions --
Kimiaki Tokumaru (System Engineer) COMP2010-47
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The mechanism of human automaton has not yet been clarified. Having investigated on the digital nature of human language, the author came to a hypothesis that human is a primate which was successful in digital evolution of vocal communication, and that the critical difference between human and non-human animals is simply in the methods of con-specific communication systems, digital or analog.
Human emotion, thoughts and logical judgment are instinctive and innate, and qualitatively same with those of non-human animals: the difference is simply quantitative. Exploiting huge brain memory storage which is 4 times as big as that of other large primates, human vocabulary is several hundred thousand words, and their meanings continue to develop through individual experience and thoughts after initial acquisition. The most significant mechanism is a listening automaton, enabled by continuous hearing at AI (primary auditory cortex) of distinctly pronounced messages. It was with this automaton that human acquired the grammar and abstract scientific concepts. The digital language seems to have brought about epigenetic human evolutions.
