(in English) Spiral waves and spatio-temporal chaos are the main causes of fatal arrhythmias.
The cardiac muscle has characteristic features of excitable media.
It is well known that the fibrosis of myocardium is strongly correlated with an incidence of serious arrhythmias.
Our previous report examined the suppression of spiral waves and spatio-temporal chaos in excitable media with fibrosis.
The boundary periodic pacing was applied to the excitable media.
The numerical investigations suggested that the frequency of the boundary periodic pacing should be low for the high fibrosis ratio.
This report analyzes the mechanism of suppression and the reason the controllable angular frequency decreases with an increase in the fibrosis ratio.
