| (in English) | We have investigated hybrid single-carrier (SC) and multi-carrier (MC) system. MC transmission is effective for high data rate communication. SC transmission is effective for keeping a wide cover area. In this paper, uplink throughput of the proposed hybrid system was calculated using a computer simulation. An effective area of SC and MC is derived based on the evaluation of the throughput of SC and MC. Then optimum switching threshold between SC and MC is discussed. Hybrid SC/MC system achieved high throughput and wide coverage compared to SC-FDMA and OFDMA. We show that the throughput deterioration can be decreased by removing the first symbol of the block when there is an interference station has carrier frequency offset. |
