A Study on Multi-BS Cooperative Transmission Control in the Cellular Mobile Communication
Daigo Ogata, Atsushi Nagate, Teruya Fujii (SBM) RCS2011-16
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In LTE-Advanced, Multi-BS cooperative transmission technology(CoMP) that improves the cell edge throughput by making neighbor BSs transmit the signal simultaneously is attracting much attention. We have shown Multi-BS cooperative transmission improve the cell edge throughput. However complex processing is necessary in cooperated transmission to transmit the signal from the multi sites simultaneously. In this paper, we examine Multi-BS cooperative transmit control which does not require complex processing compared to Multi-BS cooperative transmission. It is shown that Multi-BS cooperative transmit control can improve the cell edge throughput easily without deteriorating the cell throughput.
