| 抄録 | （和） | 筆者は2007年に，今から13万年前から6万年前の居住が確認されている世界最古の現生人類遺跡，南アフリカのクラシーズ河口洞窟を訪問し，言語の起源とメカニズムについて考察を始めた[1]．洞窟内部はきわめて安全でヒトの晩成化と脳拡大を促したと考えられるほか，静かで暗いため居住者は音に敏感になる．また，洞窟は音響シェルターであり，敵に存在を知られずにいくらでも音を出せる．言語が洞窟で生まれたことが，現生人類の誕生ではないかと考えたのだ． 言語のさまざまな過程についての知識を得るために，言語学，音響工学，通信工学，心理学，人類学・霊長類学，神経生理学，論理学，分子生物学，情報理論などの学際的著作を読んだ筆者は，ヒトとヒト以外の動物の唯一の根本的な違いは，音声通信のデジタル化(=言語)にあると考えた．しかし「デジタル」の適当な定義が見つからない．情報理論の古典を読むことで，客観的で必要十分な「デジタル」の定義の確立を試みたところ，「デジタル」概念は思っていたより広く深く，「情報ネットワーク」や「自己増殖オートマトン」を可能にする原理であるとわかった． 情報とは，ネットワーク上位の論理層で論理処理され，ただちに生命維持のための行動を生み出す符号語として定義できるのではないだろうか．それは身体と直結する言葉であるので，世界の真実を反映した正しい言葉でなければならない． |
| （英） | Having visited Cave No.3 of the Klasies River Mouth Caves, the oldest modern human site in the world with the confirmed human residence between 130,000 - 60,000 BP, in South Africa in 2007, the author started to contemplate on the origin and mechanism of language[1]. Inside-cave environments are extremely safe, quiet and dark which make residents sound-sensitive, and they consists of acoustic shelter where one can freely make sound without any danger. It is plausible that language and modern human were born inside cave. Through interdisciplinary researches on linguistics, acoustic engineering, communication engineering, psychology, anthropology/primatology, neurophysiology, logistics, molecular biology and information theory, the author came to a hypothesis that the unique fundamental difference between human and non-human-animals lies in digitalization of vocal communications, i.e. language. However, he could not find out any appropriate definition for 'digital'. Therefore, he went through the Information Theory classics such as Shannon, Wiener and von Neumann in order to explore and formulate an objective, necessary and sufficient definition for 'digital'. It became clear that the 'digital' concept is wider and deeper than expected, and that it is the principle which enables 'information networks' and 'self-reproducing automata'. This article is going to define "information" which is to be logically processed in the higher "logical" layers, and generate appropriate actions for their survival. [2]. Information must be correct words, which are in accordance with the truth of things. |
