Changes of ECG wave before septic shock occurrence

(in English) Heart Rate Variability (HRV), generally known as an estimator of autonomic nervous system's activity, has been investigated as a possible indicator of sepsis occurrence. Previously we have designated that HRV level continues decreasing for a couple days. And we have also observed the increase of that decreased HRV level immediately before the septic shock. Only looking at the level of HRV, two conditions of that patient are not distinguishable either immediately before septic shock or several days before due to the comparable HRV level. In this study, we show that there is a change when analyzing individual heart beats from electrocardiography in that time period. Particularly, the beginning of P and T wave became slightly delayed.
