[Invited Talk] Information Hiding Using Side Information

(in English) In information hiding such as watermarking and steganography, most of embedding methods ignore the available information about a cover object, which is called side information. However, embedding a message with the side information can offer a variety of merits. This article describes the merits such that embedding with the side information can improve robustness of watermarking and security of steganography, and it can also decrease distortion caused by embedding in frequency domain such as embedding into JPEG images.
