(in English) This article introduces the IPTV service, “Hikari-TV”, provided by NTT Plala Inc. “Hikari-TV” is available through the optical fiber network, “Flets Hikari”, provided by NTT East/West. TV (IP broadcast) service, Video on Demand service, and Karaoke service are available in “Hikari-TV”, as well as IP retransmission of DTT (digital Terrestrial Television)/broadcast satellite digital broadcasting. This paper describes an overview of the service, and introduces the recent topics aiming at the future development of the service.
