Paper Classification for Supporting Creative Research

(in English) The researchers at an early stage need to determine the research subject. In many cases, they read research papers for investigating existing researches. New research subject can be found by considering environments and objectives which other researchers do not focus on. In this paper, we propose a method for supporting research paper arrangement based on characteristics of papers. Since each researcher has the original viewpoints for every paper, papers should be classified based on the characteristics focused by each researcher. For making researchers annotate characteristics to papers easily, a checklist that consists of keywords is provided. Then, papers are automatically located into a classification tree. By observing the tree, researchers are desirably urged to consider the new and unfocused research subject.
