A Consideration on Velocity Detection Using NRD Guide Pulse Radar at 60 GHz

(in English) An FPGA-based digital signal processing circuit to detect velocities of targets was developed using NRD guide pulse radar at 60 GHz. Main emphasis was placed on using a previously designed digital signal processing circuit to detect distances to the targets from the radar. We added the circuit to a function to easily detect the velocities of the targets. In this paper, the digital signal processing circuit to detect the velocities of the multi targets was developed by differentiating the measured distances of those. To confirm the operation of the designed circuit, a pseudo reflection pulse train from the targets was made and inputted into the circuit and the measurement was done. As a result, the velocity detection was successfully performed.
