OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing)-based CR(Cognitive Radio) has been attracting attentions to resolve lack of frequencies. For the CR, if we detect unused PU(Primary User) having a license frequency band, SU(Secondary User) begins to use the frequency band. So, SU must not interfere with PU when CR is applied. In conventional scheme, dividing licensed band into PU band and SU band, we detect PU from mixed signal of PU and SU in CR band. However, there are problems that 10 symbols are required for the detection, and the detection probability degrades when SIR(Signal to Interference Ratio) of PU signal power to SU signal power ratio is low.Consequently, we propose autonomous PU detection scheme by suppressing pilot signal from mixed signal of PU and SU to reduce the number of symbols for the detection and increase the detection probability in low SIR.First, by receiving control signal in PU band, the transmission and reception of PU and SU is synchronized. Then, PU transmits the pilot signal to stop SU after SU transmitted 1 symbol.
SU signal is suppressed by subtracting only SU symbol from mixed signal of PU and SU.Our proposed scheme increases detection probability in low SIR during SU communication. The detection probability is evaluated by the computation simulation, and the effectiveness of the proposed scheme is shown. |
