Alpha waves are EEG in the frequency range of 8 to 13 Hz.
Its source and mechanism is still unknown in spite of many studies.
We try to localize source of alpha activity by equivalent current dipole estimation using backpropagation neural network and Fourier analysis.
Three students are given "eyes‐opening and closing test", eyes-closed resting EEG is analyzed.
Estimated dipoles are around visual cortex and singulate gyrus, but position error margin may exist.
Dipole moments are almost parallel to sagittal plane. |
