Drawing in Psychotherapy Part2 -- a Study Analyzing Drawer's Gestures --

(in English) This study focused on one of drawing techniques which are used in psychotherapy. Making a good relationship between a drawer and a counselor, and drawer’s imaging alive something to be drawn had been thought to elicit desirable changes from the drawer. This study investigated processes of building the drawer-counselor relationship and of drawer’s imaging alive something to be drawn. Twenty sessions in which drawing technique was independently operated by a counselor forward twenty participants were analyzed. All sessions were conducted as an experiment. This study focused on drawer’s action during from finishing previous drawing to listening to a next instruction by the counselor, analyzing the total number of variety of actions, and temporal changes of distinctiveness in action. The results indicated the relationship between quality of sessions and drawer’s actions.
