It has been well appreciated that the nerval activity is only recorded in part in terms of electroencephalogram (EEG). Moreover, the signal is recorded as a mixed signal coming from various locations. We shall regard it as a signal from the closed blind system. The information of intention and perception will be evaluated by means of the fractal dimension analyses of the EEG signals. It has been examined to increase the contained information (amount of characteristics) using the difference between EEG channels and the multi fractal analyses. On the other hand, one way encounter the problem called “Curse of the dimensionality” in the field in the field of the pattern recognition. It is well known such a phenomenon that the recognition rate decreases oppositely while one increase the corresponding information in a simple manner. It has been reported that the insufficient data concerned with the dimension results in such a phenomenon.
In this study, the dimension of the input signal will be reduces by means of the “Eigenspace Method” applied to the fractal dimension of EEG, and the influence of the recognition rate on it will be examined quantitatively. changing the number of data for present pattern recognition. |
