Network Services Interface -- An open standard for dynamic circuit service interoperability --

(in English) Recently, dynamic circuit services have been introduced by many R&E networks. The Open Grid Forum Network Services Interface working group (OGF NSI-WG) has been working to define an open interface standard to make such services interoperable among networks. Today, a draft v1.0 connection service interface has been defined. Seven organizations from all over the world have developed reference implementations of the draft standard and a plugfest was held at the GLIF (Global Lambda Integrated Facility) meeting in Rio de Janeiro this September. In this report, architecture concept, protocol details, current status and future plan of NSI and its activity are introduced.
