Distributed Cooperative Cache Method on Transit and Customer ISPs for Large Volume Video Contents Delivery
Masahiro Kobayashi, Satoshi Kamei, Hiroshi Saito (NTT) NS2011-102
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Transit and customer ISPs (Internet Service Providers) have several problems including transit cost due to growth of large volume video traffic. In order to solve to the problems, we proposed the distributed cooperative cache method which creates CDN (Content Delivery Network) in the transit and customer ISPs. In proposed method, the cache devices are equipped in each ISP and work in concert with each other. In addition, we evaluate traffic reduction rate by simulation, and show that the proposal method reduces traffic in the peak time by $20\%$ compared to existing method.
