Cross-Layer Designed QoS Mapping Framework for DiffServ Networks

(in English) Recently, in terms of the transmission speeds and reliabilities, wireless network system is close to wireline one. Additionally, wireless communications system must provide various multimedia application services such as ubiquitous and customized to individual needs. In these perspectives, it is necessary to realize a seamless interaction between wireline and wireless networks. However, there are two primitive agendas, i.e., the communication channels between wireline and wireless links are difference dramatically, and the required application services are depending on applicable areas or customers. In order to mitigate these drawbacks, it is necessary to consider the QoS (Quality of Service) differentiation and control. In this paper, we propose a cross-layer designed QoS framework for overall layers. In detail, we focus on the QoS mapping schemes, and then we construct the protocol stacks among physical, data link, network and transport layers. To reveal the effectiveness of our proposed scheme for the real environments, we evaluate latency and throughput performances under the DiffServ network via computer simulations.
