Characteristics of WS2-C and WS2-W based composite materials of low speed sliding contacts

(in English) WS2-Graphite Composite materials (KCL) and WS2-W Composite materials (KFC) were tested for each of the three different composition specimens. Examined changes in contact resistance and coefficient of friction for the number of applied current and rotation. As a result, the contact resistance to the applied current KCL material contacts had to change remarkably, but KFC shows change low and stable in less than 20mΩ. Presumably due to the significant impact of the sliding surface oxidation. Contact resistance of KCL tended to increase with the number of rotation. On the other hand, coefficient of friction of KFC materials increases by increasing the applied current, but KCL materials was low and stable at around 0.2. As a result, KFC material was found to be superior in terms of contact resistance and coefficient of friction.
