Towards Efficient Faceted Navigation for Software Component Search

(in English) Software reuse plays an important role in software implementation for improving software quality and reducing number of the progress of the implementation, and for software reuse, a lot of software search mechanisms have been proposed. Keyword search which is one of the most used schemes for software search has problems, that is when users do not have concrete intentions to retrieve, desired software components might not be found and results become too large amount to fi nd desired software components. On the other hand, to address the problem above, there has been a searching mechanism over manually classi ed information called facets. This mechanism however has a problem that for large number of softwares, it is troublesome to classify all softwares manually. This paper proposes a scheme which extracts facets automatically from the set of software components and constructs searching interface which enables both faceted navigation and keyword search. We expect this proposed scheme makes it easy to exploratory nd software components and software reuse to be promoted.
