Statistical mechanical evaluation of spread spectrum watermarking model with image restoration

(in English) In case that the original image is blind, we can consider a decoding method
such that both the image and the messages are estimated simultaneously.
We propose a spread spectrum watermarking model with image restoration, and then
analyze its performance by the replica method, which is one of the statistical
mechanical methods.
We calculate the theoretical value of bit error rate from obtained saddle point
equations, and check it by computer simulations.
For this purpose, we assume that the image is binary and is generated from
given prior probability. And also, we assume attack can be represented by the
Gaussian channel. In the result, results by the computer simulations agree with
the theoretical values.
Furthermore, we evaluate the performance in cases where the image is
blind or informed. As a result, the difference between both cases is
much small, when the embedding rate and attack level is small enough.
Consequently, the proposed method with simultaneous estimation is
effective as the watermarking decoder.
