Steganography means hiding important message in innocent data.
On the other hand, steganalysis means to extract, erase the hidden
message or detect the clues of the embedding from stego object.
As an universal steganalysis, which means a kind of steganalysis that
is not specified for an
embedding technique,
we have proposed a technique using the amount of the Gaussian white noise estimated by Sparse Code
Shrinkage on sparse code as an image feature.
This method assumes that the corruption of image data by information hiding distributes
can be modeled as Gaussian noise.
Because Sparse Code Shrinkage can be regarded as a filter that separates
Gaussian noise from non Gaussian distribution,
the estimated noise by Sparse Code Shrinkage would be informative feature for image
steganalysis.
From several experiments, we have confirmed our method shows better
performance compared to conventional universal steganalyers.
This paper presents an application of our steganalysis to watermarking
attack that removes the embedded watermarking information.
The purpose of the proposed system is to remove embedded watermark in a
given image.
The attack scheme consists of three steps:
a) founding basic images from the given image to transform pixel data to
sparse code,
b) Gaussian noise removal on sparse code coefficients by Sparse Code
Shrinkage, and
c) emphasizing the denoised image by amplifying the sparse sole
coefficients.
Experimental results show the efficiency of the
proposed attack against Adobe Photoshop CS4 watermarking. |
