[Poster Presentation] Broadband Low Noise Amplifier Design in Scaled CMOS Technology

(in English) One of the most recent challenges in wireless communications is the trend towards integration of multi-standard radio. These radios require multiple low noise amplifiers (LNAs), or an LNA that cover multiple frequency bands which the design is a very challenging task. Traditionally, in inductive source degeneration topology, the LNA requires two inductors in the single-ended design which occupy a relatively large portion of area.
This work presents an inductor-less LNA design for wideband receivers with the covering frequencies of 0.3 to 2 GHz using 65-nm CMOS technology. Simulation results show that the voltage gain reaches 17.5 dB in-band. The minimum IIP3 is 8.4 dBm and the noise figure (NF) is below 3.30 dB over the band of interest. Input matching is better than -8 dB and the LNA consume 25.0 mW at 1.2 V supply voltage.
