Tunable Wave Absorber Using Resistive Film and Varactor Diode Loaded between Conductive Lines

(in English) In this paper, a tunable wave absorber using resistive film and varactor diode loaded between conductive lines is proposed and examined. First, the principle of tunable matching frequency was explained by using equivalent circuit of the absorber. Then, the admittance characteristics of the resistive film and the sheet loading varactor diode were simulated. It was shown that the capacitance of the varactor diode and conductive line had the resonance frequency. Finally, absorption characteristics of the absorber were simulated and experimented. The matching frequency of the measured absorber was shifted from 0.85 to 1.2 GHz by changing of the power supply voltage, while the maximum absorption was more than 20 dB.
