Observation of Terahertz 2D-Plasmon Modes in Graphene Ribbon Array

(in English) The frequency of the plasma waves in 2-dimensional (2D) electron-hole system in graphene-layer systems can be tuned in the THz region by processing the graphene in a ribbon form with relaticely wide ribbon width in micrometers. In this study we succeeded in observation of the distinctive resonant absorption of the THz spectrum by the 2D plasmon modes in a 2D electron-hole system of a graphene micro-ribbon array by using terahertz time-domain spectroscopy based on a reflective electrooptic sampling technique.
