In this paper, we evaluate the throughput performance of the proposed adaptive PAPR reduction method based on clipping and filtering (CF) for eigenmode multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) - orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) signals assuming the nonlinearity of the power amplifier based Rapp model. Since the transmission with nonlinearity power amplifier raises undesirable out-of-band emission, we need to increase the input back off (IBO) value of the power amplifier or decrease the clipping threshold at the baseband PAPR reduction. Simulation results elucidate that proposed PAPR reduction method can increases the average throughput compared with the conventional CF method for a given adjacent channel leakage power ratio (ACLR) even when we take into account the nonlinearity of the power amplifier. |
