[Invited Talk] International Standardization Trend on Optical Fiber and Related Technologies

(in English) This paper reviews recent international standardization work under ITU-T responsibility with respect to an optical fiber and related technologies. Two following topics are introduced taking into account the latest SG plenary meeting which was held on the December 2011. First one is a revision of bendingloss insensitive fiber and related measurement method, and another one is a next type of fiber for ultra large transmission capacity. We also introduce another progress in recent standardization work which has been led by worldwide spread of FTTx.
