This paper clarifies that the optimized minimum contention window sizes of the access point and the relay station can improve throughput performance that affected by hidden terminals in a single-relay multi-user network which employs the carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) protocol. Moreover, this paper proposes the optimized minimum contention window sizes control scheme for stations hidden from the access point in addition to the access point and the relay station to improve link guaranteed throughput. Finally, computer simulation results show that proposed scheme outperforms the conventional ones by a factor of about two. |
