Mechanism of oscillation death and chaos in a weakly driven 4-segment piecewise-linear BVP oscillator

(in English) In the autonomous Bonhoeffer-van der Pol(BVP) oscillator, a
subcritical Andronov Hopf bifurcation can take place. In this case, a
stable focus and stable rexation oscillation coexist. When weak
perturbation is apllied, complex behaviors appear since the solution
alternate between the focus and the rexation oscillation. We have
proposed a four-segment peacewise-linear BVP osillater that has a stable focus and a stable rexation oscilation. In this study, we further investigate this oscillator. By applying a weak periodic perturbation, complicated bifurcation bifurcation structures emerge because a stable focus and a stable relaxation oscillation coexist in a close proximity. To analyze these phenomena in detail, we propose a four-segment piecewise-linear BVP oscillator with idealized characteristic, and show that the chaotic oscillation disappears and oscillation death appear under weak periodic perturbation. Especially, it is shown that extremely complicated structure on the Poincar\'e map is observed when the interval to oscillation death appears.
