Performance Evaluation of Space-Frequency Block Coded OFDM Systems Based on Data Mappings

(in English) We examine the Alamouti coding when it is applied for space time block coded (STBC) OFDM systems and for space frequency block coded (SFBC) OFDM systems. To achieve a better performance, data mappings are also used to reduce an inter carrier interference (ICI). We have evaluated the performance for STBC and SFBC OFDM systems with data mapping. The results show that BER can be reduced by 1dB in AWGN when BER and the normalized frequency offset are $10^{-4}$ and $0.05$, respectively. The BER can be improved by 2dB in flat Rayleigh fading and by 2dB in frequency selective Rayleigh fading.
