Immunity Evaluation Method of Metal Cable for High-speed Signal Transmission

(in English) As the application field of a high-speed digital signal transmission system using a metal cable has expanded, it is neceassary to evaluate noise immunity level of the cable to care signal quality. For the immunity evaluation, we developed a measurement system and studied evaluation method which measure commmon-mode and differential mode-mode noise element by using S-parameter of the cable at a time. Then, we combined measured S-parameter and a circuit simulator, and evaluated immunity level as real time wave form.Finally, we confiremed immunity level of the cable for high-speed signal transmission is able to evaluate quantitatively by this method.
