In this paper, we propose a novel frequency-time domain channel estimation method for OFDM systems in time-varying Rayleigh fading channel. The propose channel estimation method both for the frequency and time domains is based on the ML method by using scattered pilots (SP) subcarriers in the frequency axis and scattered pilot symbols in the time axis, respectively with a certain intervals that are decided according to the maximum delay time and Doppler frequency spread in the time-varying Rayleigh fading channel. This paper presents various computer simulation results to verify the effectiveness of proposed channel estimation method as comparing with the conventional 2-Dimensions (2D) cubic spline interpolation method. |
