Q-Factor Analysis and Experiments on Transmission Line Feedback FET Oscillators

(in English) This paper presents $Q$-factor analysis and experiments on transmission line feedback FET oscillators. We analyze the $Q$-factor of the transmission line feedback FET oscillator in the simplest topology.
The theoretical result shows that $Q$-factor is dominated by the mode number, attenuation of transmission line and load resistance to characteristic impedance ratio. We fabricated three samples in the same topology but with different characteristic impedance of transmission line.
Experimental results agree the theory on that the oscillator exhibits lower SSB noise with lower characteristic impedance. The standard deviation between theory and measurement exhibits only 0.125 dBrms.
