Optimization of Channel Efficiency Based on Moving Speed Prediction for Underwater Acoustic Communication

(in English) There is an increasing demand of the realization of an Underwater Sensor Network that collects environmental monitoring data in the ocean. Acoustic communication is mainly used as a medium for Underwater Sensor Network. However, large propagation delay of sound incurs the increase of the waiting time in Automatic Repeat reQuest(ARQ)and results in the low channel utilization rate. In this paper, we propose a data link protocol that maximizes the channel efficiency of one sender and one receiver in USN. In the proposed method, the sender minimizes the unnecessary waiting time between data frames by predicting the next ACK reception time from the node velocity estimated by frame reception intervals.
