| (in English) | We present a framework for the recognition of self and objects based on the execution and imagination of body movement. First, we show that delayed visual feedback of moving fingers results in a diminished sense of self agency and causes an increase in the activity of the right parietal lobe. Next, we show that a parietal-occipital-parahippocampal network is recruited to perform updating of an object-place memory by imagined body translation. We then demonstrate the perception of bistable object rotation related to mental transformations of an observer's egocentric reference frame. Finally, we propose a self-organizing neural network model of multiple object representation in inferotemporal cortex. | |
