Item Response Theory with Correlations among Items

(in English) Item response theory (IRT) is a recent test theory which has been developed in mainly psychology and social science.
A main object of IRT is to estimate both the ability of each examinee and the difficulty of each test item, and
subsequently, to provide the score of each examinee using the estimates.
The conventional models in IRT cannot consider interactions among test items
because they make assumption of the statistical independence among test items.
In this paper, we propose a new model of IRT which can consider interactions among test items
by merging IRT with the theory of Markov random field.
