(in English) Along with the penetration of mobile routers and smart phones, the amount of data traffic has been rapidly increasing and it causes radio resource shortage problem chronically. As a countermeasure, cellular operators are actively deploying Wi-Fi access points for "data off-loading" purpose to mitigate the problem. Authors are trying to build a simulation testbed which enables evaluation of the influences caused by some network control policy in such heterogeneous wireless access environment. As a part of the testbed, we are developing a simulation model for LTE on QualNet Network Simulator. This paper shows some of the simulation results using the model that newly supports mobility and handover. First, we evaluated some basic aspects of LTE handover, followed by a comparative evaluation of LTE access through Wi-Fi using shared mobile router deployed for some public transportation system, regarding handover characteristics.
