Individuality in eye movements during speech production

(in English) The present study examined how eye movements show the owner’s individuality in everyday situations. We recorded the binocular eye movements of individuals while they made a short speech. We found that participants show their intrinsic patterns in the spatial distribution of gaze direction. A discriminant analysis of the physical parameters of the eye movements showed that motion information of the eyes conveys enough cues to mathematically discriminate the individuals. We also report the analysis of temporal change in the intrinsic gaze patterns including an autocorrelation analysis.
