| (in English) | In order that we can find out easily the title of emergency information in the websites provided by local governments, it is necessary to adopt a well-chosen combination of text color and ground color. We investigated whether color-defective persons are able to access easily titles with various combination of the two colors, referring to WCAG2.0 or JIS X 8341-3(2010). 79 websites of local governments in Japan were surveyed this time. We found out that the combination of red (255, 0, 0) and white (255, 255, 255) was employed by 53% of the local governments. Using the method for calculating the contrast ratio defined in WCAG2.0, we accumulated the contrast ratio for the two colors (red and white). This contrast ratio does not fulfill the requirement defined in WCAG2.0 or JIS X 8341-3(2010). Then we proposed how to make the contrast ratio higher. In addition, we tried a new assessment scheme of web accessibility to the websites. | |
