Examining static metrics for software quality management

(in English) There is a set of static software metrics as an indicator of software quantity and quality. In this paper, we show measurement results of software metrics on the Java framework Struts 1.3 that have been widely accepted in Web application development in the IT industry. Next, we examine some results on tracing source codes concerning the Struts framework using the software metrics. Finally, from a viewpoint of quality control and development efficiency, we discuss metrics to retrieve source codes with a similar structure. Though the cyclomatic and the number of executable lines, etc. are a fair candidate set of metrics, some sophisticated metrics are required when the types of control statements are essential.
